Ohio State University Extension is the outreach arm of The Ohio State University with local offices in each of Ohio's 88 counties.  The Jackson County Office offers diverse programming for our citizens.

It is our job to make the resources of The Ohio State University available to all of the citizens of Jackson County - rural, urban, all ages, sizes, and races.   
We want to be your source of answers for all your questions!

Enrollment Time!
It's Enrollment Time! The time is now to join Jackson County 4-H, there is something for everyone! The yearly fair enrollment deadline is April 15th! Returning members should enroll by April 1st.

4-H Awards and Scholarship Applications Available
Local 4-H Awards are available for youth ages 8-18 as of January 1. 2014, and is due by March 15th for State 4-H Camps and September 1st for Countywide Awards (ages 8-18). Ohio 4-H Achievement Records are due to the Extension Office by January 23rd for State Awards (ages 14-18) Local Scholarship Applications are due by March 1st each year (or the 1st business day following March 1st).

County Bred Form~Must be turned in at Weigh-In
In order to be eligible for Top County Bred Awards, exhibitors must have their forms signed by the breeder that they are purchasing the animal from verifying that animal was born in Jackson County. County Bred Forms must be obtained from the Extension Office (or website) prior to weigh-in and a SIGNED FORM must be submitted AT SPRING/WINTER WEIGH-IN! No forms will be accepted after this date.
