2023 Horse Committee Member List

Nominations accepted throughout the month of September. Nominees are voted on in October. Anyone wishing to have their name added to the ballot must email Maddie Allman the answers to the following questions by September 30th:

  1. Why do you want to be on the Jackson County 4-H Horse Committee?

  2. What is your previous experience with the 4-H program, Horse Committee, etc. How would those you have worked with in the past review your leadership and involvement in the program?

  3. Serving on a 4-H committee is a time-consuming process. The committee meets each month and puts on events, clinics, trainings, workdays, and fundraisers throughout the year. In short, being a part of the committee is not just during the week of the county fair. Applicants should be prepared to stay involved throughout the year. How do you plan to stay involved and active within the Horse Committee throughout the year?

  4. Please read the Horse Committee Goals & Standards, which can be found below. After reading the Goals & Standards, do you agree with these statements? Which one stands out to you the most?

  5. A goal of the Horse Committee is to "Create comradery and community for those 4-H members & volunteers interested in horses and ponies." How do you plan to support this mission?

Committee meets every third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM from February-October. Officers will meet in November & January to complete the annual audit.
