2023 4-H Urban Immersion Project - September 21-24, 2023

  • The 4-H Urban Immersion Project (UIP) is an Ohio 4-H initiative that combines cross-cultural learning, teamwork and service learning in the urban environment of Washington, DC.  This year marks the 10th anniversary of the UIP Experience! 4-H teens ages 15-18 and still in High School are eligible for this 4-day service-learning experience that will build skills and abilities to prepare youth for success in a diverse workplace as well as build cultural understanding of those who are different.  This experience will not be about shopping or sightseeing, although we will visit some monuments and historic sites. The cost of the experience is $180.  Limited scholarship funds are also available.  All teen applicants will be contacted to complete an additional phone interview before selection.

  • Registrations due August 7th, 2023 (2023 4-H Urban Immersion Project Application)

  • Cost: $180.00 (Scholarships might be available - please reach out for more information).

Any Jackson County 4-H graduating senior who has completed at least 4 years in the 4-H program are eligible for a FREE 4-H graduation chord to wear at their school’s graduation ceremony.

Youth who order a graduation chord will also be featured on our social media pages and in the newsletter!

Ohio 4-H Teen Leadership Council

Individuals must be 14-18 as of January 1 of the year of application to apply for council member, committee member, committee chair, and officer positions. Junior Advisor applicants must be 18-20 years old (as of January 1) when they apply. Applications are due the Friday following the conclusion of the Ohio State Fair. More information & applications can be found on the Ohio 4-H Teen Leadership Council's webpage

4-H Event Youth Assistants (4HEYA)

4-H members who are 13-18 years old as of January 1, 2022 and have previously completed at least one year of 4-H are encouraged to apply. More information and applications can be found at https://ohio4h.org/families/just-teens/4heya

4-H Health HEROES: A Healthy Living Teen Advocates Program

Ohio 4-H Foundation Board Youth Representative 

The Ohio 4-H Foundation is looking for strong leaders between the age of 14-18 as of January 1 to be the next Ohio 4-H Foundation's Youth Representatives. This special leadership opportunity requires 3 face to face (Zoom as needed) meetings a year. The two-year term runs January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2024. More information can be found here.
